Prophetic Keys: Knowledge and Wisdom
Hey everyone, Conrad here from ConradRocks.Net! Welcome back to another conversation where we dive into the heart of the supernatural Christian life. Today, I want to chat about something that’s become a huge part of my ministry: words of knowledge and words of wisdom. These aren't just abstract spiritual concepts; they're powerful tools God uses to reach people in real, tangible ways. As I’ve stepped out in faith, ministering in parks, on streets, and anywhere God leads, I’ve seen firsthand how these gifts operate. It’s amazing how God can reveal specific needs and then provide the wisdom on how to address them. You might have caught some of my street ministry videos on my socials like Snapchat, Facebook, or Twitter. These real-life experiences have shaped my understanding of how the prophetic works, and I’m eager to share what I've learned with you all.
Relationship Now: The Foundation of Supernatural Ministry
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, I want to emphasize something crucial: our relationship with Jesus. As I always start these chats, it's all about "relationship now." Everything we do in the supernatural springs from this foundation. If we truly seek first the Kingdom of God, if our hearts are aligned with His, then the spiritual gifts we operate in will flow correctly. This is where the real power lies. Think of it this way: God wants to be involved in every step of your journey, not just in a robotic routine. He wants to have a conversation with you, to guide your steps. This isn't about simply memorizing a formula; it’s about listening to His voice. My experiences have taught me that when I seek God's will and not just my own, I'm in a better position to truly serve others. I firmly believe that ministry is not a solo act; it’s a partnership with the living God.
Kingdom Keys and the Prophetic
So, what exactly are words of knowledge and words of wisdom? In a nutshell, a word of knowledge is when God reveals specific information about an individual, often things you couldn't possibly know naturally. This might be a physical ailment, a past experience, or an internal struggle. It’s like God handing you a “Kingdom Key.” Words of wisdom are how to apply that information. It's the ability to understand how that spiritual key can unlock a prison door or change someone’s life. In 1 Corinthians, Paul encourages us to earnestly desire the gift of prophecy, and words of knowledge and wisdom often come under that prophetic umbrella. These aren't parlor tricks or religious rituals. They are the power of the Holy Spirit at work. When we operate with these gifts, we're partnering with God to set people free. When you see a person's face light up with recognition as God's revelation breaks through, that is an incredible experience. That’s why we're doing this – to see lives transformed by the power of Jesus.
Seeking God's Will: Not Religious Routine
Here’s a lesson I’ve learned the hard way – we can't let ministry become a routine. We need to be actively seeking God’s leading and guidance each time we minister. Sometimes, we might get into a groove, thinking we know exactly how to minister and what to do but if we are honest, we may be leaving God behind. It's easy to fall into religious habits, repeating the same prayers, the same approaches, and so forth. This is why praying for direction is so important. We prepare the way through prayer and speak the word of God over situations before even arriving. We don't just show up and hope for the best; we seek God’s guidance, asking Him where to go and who to speak to. We actively desire his will, his ways, and that means it's not a solo act, we're a team with the Lord. Jesus Himself didn't just heal everyone he encountered, he only did what he saw his Father doing. This illustrates the importance of spiritual awareness and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. We need that kind of intimate relationship and trust to discern God's specific plan and direction. He is lighting our path as we go.
Personal Experiences and Lessons Learned
Now, let's get personal. I've had my fair share of 'interesting' experiences while ministering. Sometimes we'd start talking to people who seemed like they were in need, but it just felt…off. It felt like we were just going through the motions. There was no anointing for the conversation, and I'd often think “This isn’t it.” Then, out of the corner of my eye, we’d see someone else – someone God seemed to highlight. Once, I literally had to run and catch up with a man who was limping, after spending time talking with other folks, to pray for him. In that moment, it was clear God wanted to move. It was so obvious that God had directed us to this man, and not the group we had been talking with. I try to remember this lesson: We do not operate out of a vacuum, and we don't just want to go with what's "acceptable," but to the perfect will of God. We have to stay close to God in relationship to know the difference.
Sometimes I also see people who are carrying different issues and when I start ministering, I can see what’s happening. The key is that we become more intimate with the word. Jesus is the word, and if we abide in Him, we will share His nature. This is so powerful! Instead of using human wisdom we begin to use the word of God. We imitate Christ and we learn the spiritual keys that are in the word. So often, we know these keys – like forgiveness, honoring parents, and many others – but we need God to illuminate the lock they open. As I continue to walk forward, I realize God doesn't always show the whole picture at once. Sometimes, He gives a little piece as we walk in faith, trusting Him each step of the way. It’s about walking in that “river” of revelation, as Ezekiel described, starting in the shallow waters and venturing deeper into the spiritual depths.
Common Pitfalls: Discerning the Source
Now, let's talk about something crucial: where words of knowledge come from. It's essential to discern the source because not every thought, feeling, or vision is from God. I've come across three common pitfalls when it comes to words of knowledge and wisdom:
Your Own Heart: Our heart can be deceitful. In Jeremiah and Ezekiel, God speaks of prophets who prophesied based on their own imaginations, deceiving even themselves. We need to be aware of this. Our experiences, our emotions – these can influence what we think we're hearing from God. When I'm ministering, I’m aware of this. If I'm moved by my emotions, I understand that I’m probably not in the flow of the Spirit of God. This is why it's so important to know the difference through our time in prayer. It's fine to share what the Lord did in my life to others, but it’s important to not mistake our emotions with God’s revelation.
Familiar Spirits: This is where things get tricky. Demons, assigned to generational curses, can mimic words of knowledge. They are there to steal, kill, and destroy. They look to fulfill the lusts of their father, the devil. They attach to people, and in my experience, they usually operate with a specific purpose. These spirits often appear as if they’re providing genuine spiritual insight, much like the psychics who think they’re communicating with dead relatives. The familiar spirits are mimicking the relatives, and this can lead to a great deception. But once you recognize that the familiar spirit is at work, you can begin to see what the curse might be. When you identify the curse, you can help set them free by using the appropriate “Kingdom Key”.
Spiritual Body Odor: This is how I describe it. It's when we pick up on what's already on the person's mind. Like you smell someone who needs deodorant, I pick up on what people are currently thinking about. Their worries, desires, things they’ve been praying about – all of this can come to me as I am talking with them. It’s not God revealing a future blessing, but it's a reflection of what the person is currently focused on, and it needs to be discerned. This is a big one that many novices get trapped in, thinking they have a “word from God” and really it's from the person they're talking to.
Hearing From God: The Genuine Article
Finally, we come to the core of what we’re after: actually hearing from God. This isn't from our heart, or a familiar spirit, or even from the person we're praying for. This is God speaking, like He did with Jeremiah, Samuel, or Ezekiel. This is when our spiritual relationship comes into play. When God lights up someone for us, I will then have a Kingdom Key to give. We have to get to know the voice of God, and Jesus says his sheep know his voice and won’t follow another. When I receive a word, I try to verify it with scripture that I have hidden in my heart. Is the spiritual word and the word in agreement? I'm not lazy about God’s word! I'm always reading it, listening to it on audio, trying to hide it in my heart. When God gives a real word of knowledge or wisdom, it will lead to some kind of change, a miraculous moment where a person is set free as they come into contact with the truth of God.
Conclusion and Call to Action
Wow, that was a lot! I hope this has helped you understand how I approach words of knowledge and wisdom in my ministry. This is not an easy path, but it's the most rewarding. We need to understand the spiritual realm and be aware of its pitfalls. We need prophetic mentors, and we need to be grounded in the word. We need to be in constant communication with our God, not merely waiting for Him to speak to us, but to be in a constant conversation. We also have to develop our ability to discern the differences in the spiritual realms.
If this has resonated with you, I want to encourage you to dig deeper and go higher. Keep developing your relationship with Jesus. Spend time in the Word, learn to discern His voice, and don’t give up. Don't fall into a religious routine! Seek his will and his ways in everything that you do.
