The RIGHT NOW word is PRAYER AND FASTING!!!!

The Lord has been speaking quite a bit about fasting recently.

I heard "Fasting reactivates the gifts" in the spirit a few weeks ago.

I also did a blog post recently about Fasting and Accountability.

God confirms His word through two or three witnesses.  Well, i have been getting way more than just two or three witnesses.  God is  saying something about fasting - RIGHT NOW!

I have heard it mentioned repeatedly in churches, from people in the Prophetic Hangouts, and from the Lord in prayer.

Finally, out of the blue, my pastor said this exact phrase on Sunday:

"You can fast for yourself if you are trying to get free from something".

I gave a testimony in church about how the Lord is dealing with His body about fasting.  I referred to this Scripture:

Matthew 17:19-21  Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?  (20)  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  (21)  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Jesus is chiding His disciples for their unbelief.  He told them they could cast out demons and they were doing fine except for "this kind".  For some reason "this kind" of demon was challenging their belief.  Jesus said that "this kind" comes out by prayer and fasting.  So in turn it makes sense that prayer and fasting increases our faith level.

Remember that Jesus had fasted and prayed for forty days prior to this.

After church, a friend of mine mentioned that the Lord was dealing with him recently about how "this kind" needs prayer and fasting.

I wanted to share this with you because i know a lot of us are struggling with things.  Right now the Lord is talking about fasting and prayer.  It is time to diligently seek the Lord for our breakthrough.  This is a right now word for this time.

Right NOW is the time to seek the Lord for your breakthrough!

Hebrews 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

In this Google Plus Hangout we discuss the recent demonic attacks that happened all over the world this last week.

What happened?
Why were Christians attacked?
What are we to do about it?

I know many of you were not able to get in to the hangout.  We will be making a live Chat page so we can all participate.

Let's pray for each other during this precarious time.  We have the victory through Christ Jesus.

Beyond Miracles: Why Relationship with God is Key for the Prophetic

Hearing from God: A Must for Christians Who Prophesy, Heal, and Deliver

Hey everyone, Conrad here from ConradRocks.net. Today, we're going to dive into a topic that's been on my heart lately: relationship, hearing the voice of God, and obeying Him. This is especially important for those interested in the prophetic.

Let's jump right in with scripture. Luke 8:21 tells us, "My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it."  For several years, I've been meditating on Matthew 7:21-23, and recently, the Lord revealed something powerful to me that I want to share with you.

Hearing from God is Key

One of the ways we hear from God is through scripture. Jesus is the Word, and meditating on scripture is like meditating on the way, the truth, and the life (John 1).  The Spirit of Truth guides us into all truth, and it's an amazing experience when God illuminates a scripture for you.

But what about those in Matthew 7:21-23? They called Jesus "Lord" and did many wonderful works, yet Jesus said He never knew them.  Why? Because they weren't hearing His voice. True Christians are those who operate in the spirit (Romans 12:1).

Seeing and Hearing in the Spirit

John 5:19 tells us Jesus does what the Father does. He sees the Father doing something and then does it Himself. Jesus also only says what the Father teaches Him (John 8:28).  Jesus lived a life completely obedient to the Father.

Just as Jesus operated in the spirit, so should we.  Romans 8:14 tells us those who are led by the Spirit are children of God.  We must have a relationship with God, who is a Spirit (John 4:24). This means a Christian is someone who hears and sees the Father in the spiritual realm.

The Importance of Relationship

The people in Matthew 7 didn't have a relationship with God and thus didn't do His will.  They weren't hearing from Him.  While the written scripture is important, it's not the only way God speaks to us.

Disobeying God is Iniquity

Here's a powerful point the Lord revealed to me: not doing the will of the Father is the same as working iniquity (disobeying God).  Many people prophesy, cast out demons, and do miracles, but are they hearing from God?

Let's look at prophesying. Jeremiah 14:14-16 tells us of prophets prophesying lies in God's name. God didn't send them, and the people they prophesied to would be judged.  These prophets were working iniquity by not hearing from God.

Casting Out Demons Requires Discernment

Even casting out demons can be working iniquity. Mark 16:17 says that believers will cast out demons, but it doesn't say they're obligated to cast out every demon they encounter.  Consider Acts 16:16-18. Here, Paul encountered a demon-possessed woman but waited days before casting it out.

Miracles Are Not a Guarantee of Following God's Will

The Antichrist will perform miracles (2 Thessalonians 2:9).  Just because someone does miracles doesn't mean they're following God's will.  The disciples wanted to call down fire from heaven, but Jesus rebuked them (Luke 9:54-56). They needed to hear from God first.

Hearing from God is Essential

For those interested in the prophetic, this is crucial. We need a relationship with God, hear His voice through the Spirit, and obey Him.  Many supernatural experiences can be deceiving.

Closing Thoughts

I encourage you to meditate on these concepts and pray for the discernment to hear from God.  If this resonated with you, please share it with others!

Until next time, dig deeper, go higher!

Fasting and Accountability

On this morning's prayer walk i heard a phrase in the spirit "Fasting and Accountability".

I began to meditate in the precepts of both words and as the rocks of revelation poured into my spirit I realized that the two in combination are a powerful weapon in the overcomer's arsenal.

God has been showing me recently that a lot of  Christians who sincerely love the Lord are ensnared by the devil time and time again.

2 Timothy 2:25-26  In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;  (26)  And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.     (see also Acts 5:3)

The devil finds a way to attack, whether it be through carnal lusts, mammon, or even religious legalism.  Once he is successful, he uses the same tactic relentlessly.

Many of us desire to mature in Christ and to walk as overcomer's  that John talks about:

1 John 2:12-14  I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.  (13)  I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.  (14)  I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

On Fasting.

Jesus said a certain kind of demon could not come out but by prayer and fasting.

Matthew 17:20-21  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.  (21)  Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Notice that the disciples were not able to cast this kind of demon out. Jesus says that it was because of unbelief.  One can make the argument that prayer and fasting increases belief.  The stronger our belief in the Word of God the more power we have over the enemy.  Remember, Jesus had fasted 40 days before casting this 'kind' of demon out.

On Accountability.

I was praying about this, and i kept going back to the time the disciples sold everything they had and then lived together in a community.

Acts 4:32-35  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.  (33)  And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.  (34)  Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,  (35)  And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

These Christians found something more precious than gold.  They sold everything and lived together.  They bore one anothers burdens (Galatians 6:2)  They shared bread, the word, and helped each other become overcomers. This family of believers had the added benefit of accountability.   They were with each other so much that they could hold each other accountable to walk their talk.

During prayer before ministry i  had a vision  of a lion (1 Peter 5:8) violently attacking a lamb that was off all by itself.  I was leading worship that night.  During the service a phone call was received sharing the news  that one of the young sister's died naked and alone in her apartment.  She had complained to people recently in her apartment complex that demons were trying to kill her.

I am grieved that this happened.  I am thinking that this would not have happened if we had a community like the one mentioned in Acts.

For us to see the results we see in the bible, we need to do what they did.

Take some time to meditate on fasting and accountability.  Seek the revelation that God is pouring out right now.

Overcoming Spiritual Attacks: A Deeper Look at My Dream

Overcoming Zombies!

Today, I want to take a deeper dive into the dream I shared in the YouTube video, "Overcoming Zombies"

The dream was a powerful illustration of how sin and negative influences can take root in our lives.  Those "zombies" represented challenges we all face – areas where we struggle to live according to God's will.

Finding the Higher Ground

In the dream, the person escapes the zombies by climbing to a higher vantage point. This symbolized seeking God's perspective.  It's a reminder that when we're facing spiritual battles, prayer is essential.  Taking that time to step back and connect with God allows us to see things more clearly.

Iniquities: The Seeds of Trouble

The video talks about "iniquities," which are essentially repeated sins that grow stronger over time.  I used smoking as an example, but it could be anything that starts small and gradually takes control.  The key takeaway is to nip these things in the bud.  Address those initial choices before they become strongholds in your life.

Facing the Root Cause

The dream gets interesting when the person confronts the one who brought the zombies into the house.  This represents identifying the root cause of our struggles.  Sometimes, our problems stem from past choices or unresolved issues.  By acknowledging these roots, we can begin to deal with them and find true freedom.

The Sword of the Spirit

The Bible is our greatest weapon in spiritual warfare.  Verses like Matthew 4:4 remind us of the power of God's word.  Scripture equips us to discern truth from deception and gives us the strength to resist temptation.

Prayer and Fasting: Powerful Tools

The dream concludes with a focus on prayer and fasting.  Jesus himself spoke about the importance of these practices in overcoming spiritual attacks (Mark 9:29, Matthew 17:21).  In the video, I shared a personal experience of how prayer and fasting helped me grow closer to God and experience breakthrough.

Be Alert: The Enemy's Tricks

The dream doesn't shy away from the reality that the enemy will try to lure us back into sin after a victory.  The stories of Adam and Eve, and Job's wife, serve as reminders to stay vigilant.  The moment we think we've "won," that's often when the enemy steps up his attacks.

A Call to Action

This journey of overcoming spiritual attacks is something we can all relate to.  If you're struggling, know that you're not alone.  Seek God through prayer, immerse yourself in scripture, and consider incorporating prayer and fasting into your spiritual disciplines.

Why did God let my dad die?

A question was posed recently, "Why doesn't God heal my dad?".

I am sure a lot of you know that I lost my dad to a brain tumor back in 1999.  That event changed my life dramatically.  It threw me into a tail spin.  I had panic attacks, lost my wife, and somehow in the midst of it all got much closer to God.

I know God heals.  I have seen Him do it time after time.  I have seen David George recover his mind live at bread of life church.  I have met Gary Wood who sings praises to the Lord with severed vocal chords.  I have seen cancers healed , eyes straightened, and barren wombs give fruit.  I have no question that God heals.

Why didn't God  heal my dad?

When Weldon, my dad, was diagnosed with a brain tumor on June 1st, 1999 I decided I was going to pull out all the stops for my Dad's healing.  I rejected the report that dad would die in four and one half months  - which he did pass on that exact day.  This was foretold by an unsaved doctor.

My brother and I laid hands on dad and prayed right there in the hospital multiple times.   We prayed earnestly and fervently according to what we thought that meant.

James 5:16  ........ The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

When dad was sent home I got down on my knees and prayed with dad.  I fasted and prayed.  I sought God earnestly.  Dad only got worse day after day for four and a half months.

Dad was losing his ability to talk on his birthday two days before he passed.  I bought him a cross that he could look at from his hospice bed.  As I put it up for him, I told him "Dad, you have to have faith"

He looked at me with eyes that assured me and he said, "I can have faith in God".   I cried and knew that dad was in Jesus' hands.

In spite of all of dad's pain and suffering, he was more worried about me than himself. When he could talk, he kept asking me if I was all right.

Somehow later I knew that I had just one more opportunity to speak to him before he slipped into a coma.  I told dad as I tearfully squeezed his hand, "I love you dad".

He looked at me and said "I love you too".  Those were the last words I heard him utter.

He slipped into a coma.

Dad finally passed on the very day the doctor said he would.  I questioned my faith.  But for some reason I never took God off the throne.  Something deep within  my spirit churned within me and assured me that everything was going to be OK.  My outer soul man, however, went into all kind of emotional convulsions.  I had panic attacks and was an emotional wreck.  My wife soon left me.  I was a mess in the outward man.  The inward spirit, however, realized there was a purpose.  The inward man was anchored in Christ.

I sought God earnestly for years asking Him why he let my dad die.  Over the course of a few years He revealed, or rather reminded me of something.   I have kept this to myself for years, but now I am ready to share it with you.

First off, all things work for the good....

Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Yes, we all know this verse.  All things work for the good of those that are called and love God.  I knew I had a call.  I knew I loved God. Then my attention was drawn to the fact that is was His purpose that i was made for.  Not my own purpose.  HIS purpose.

God had brought me to the fact that He foreknew us before we were even in the womb.

Jeremiah 1:5  Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Well, God knew me before I was born.  This is interesting because I used to pray to God as a child.  I had a relationship with Him and it was like I already knew Him.  I had child like faith (Luke 18:17). God has answered many of my prayers that I prayed as a young child.  I prayed for a white horse and got it within two weeks.  He has answered other prayers from those early years over the course of my lifetime.

As a child, my mind wasn't so confused with all this theology that it has now.  I was simply praying as a child and it is as if i have always known Him.  I had child like faith because I was a child!

Moving on from Romans 8:28 here is the very next verse:

Romans 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Somehow the things that we go through are linked to our destiny.  No matter how bad these fiery trials (1 Peter 4:12)  are - once we are through them  we are the better for it.  The potter (Romans 9:20-23) conforms us to the image of His Son.

Peter even tells us to rejoice in our trials (See also James 1:2)!

1 Peter 1:6-9  Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:  (7)  That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:  (8)  Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:  (9)  Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

We love a God that we may have not seen.  We love a God that foreknew us before we were born.  This God has given us a call and a destiny.  A purpose for our lives.  A destiny to be conformed into the image of His Son.

Now, no matter what comes my way, I know that God is on the throne and I am being conformed to the image of His Son.  This gives me comfort and a peace that surpasses understanding  (Philippians 4:7).

This life on earth is short.  It is a blip on the radar of eternity.   I may not understand everything, but I am learning to understand that all things work for  good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

I want to encourage you.  No matter what trial you are going through.  Keep the faith.  It will work out for good.  You may not see it right now, but you will in the long run.

Jesus Rules!

PS.. now I just think about how dad has all this time to work on his tennis, basketball, croquet, and chess games til I get there!  (Genesis 50:20)
